In a significant ruling that is likely to set a precedent in cases involving privacy of an individual, the self regulatory body of entertainment channels, Broadcast Content Complaints Council (BCCC), has asked popular television channel ‘Star Vijay’ to apologise to actress Ranjitha Menon for showing a “morphed” video featuring her in a compromising position with Swami Nithyananda.
In a significant development, the Court of the Additional Civil Judge of the Second Senior Division ordered the attachment of the properties and vehicles of the District magistrate (DM) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Varanasi, in a case of contempt of court filed against them by Manikarnika Seva Ashram trustees who are devotees of Sri Nithyananda Swami and have been doing various spiritual and social service activities with the support of the ashram.
On April 4, 2013, the Superior Court of the State of California which had earlier in November 2012 dismissed the case filed by Vinay Bharadwaj on Swami Nithyananda and others, including allegations of unnatural sex (same allegation made in the case against Sri Nithyananda Swami in India), granted the motion for Vinay Bharadwaj to pay the attorney fees as well to Swami Nithyananda and others.
On 28 February 2013, the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka took on file the US Court ordered medical records of Ms. Aarthi Rao, the false rape victim in the Swami Nithyananda case. These medical records show the false rape victim having multiple STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) since at least 2004.
Vinay Bharadwaj, the individual who had falsely accused Hindu spiritual teacher Paramahamsa Nithyananda of sexual abuse, has been himself convicted by a U.S. court on multiple counts of child molestation.
This is to clarify some misrepresentations in certain media related to Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s ongoing Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra 2012, where Swamiji is leading a group of over 100 international devotees on a spiritual pilgrimage to these sacred destinations.
