The Hon’ble High Court of Madras, in its order on a petition filed by Ms. Ranjitha, whose morphed photographs with Swami Nithyananda were published in certain media as a part of a bigger conspiracy by the media houses and individual criminals, ordered for further thorough investigation to be done into the conspiracy and all criminals involved in this be brought to book.

In her petition before the Hon’ble High Court, Ms. Ranjitha had expressed her grievance on some of the key accused persons, including Kalanidhi Maran (Sun TV executive), RMR Ramesh (Dinakaran executive) among others, being left out by the police in their investigation report.

“…the Trial Court to go through the entire final report along with accompanying documents and if the Trial Court finds that the police have left out some person as accused, the Trial Court has power to summon them at the stage of taking cognizance….if offence surfaces during the course of trial, then, at that stage also, the Trial Court can invoke Section 319 Cr.P.C. and implead persons as accused.”

“…direction to the Trial Court to go through the entire final report and accompanying documents and if it finds out that some persons have been left out from the array of accused, it is open to the Trial Court to issue process to such persons. That apart, it is also open to the Trial Court to invoke its provisions under Section 319 Cr.P.C. if offences appear during the course of trial against the said persons.”
