11th July 2012: Addressing the press in Karnataka’s Tumkur Dt. on 9th June this year, prominent Hindu leader and Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Mutalik announced that a ‘Sanaatana Sanskriti Rakshapeetha’, comprising 25 religious heads, has been formed to counter the continuous negative propaganda against Hindu religious heads by people with vested interests, as well as a certain section of the media. Referring to the persistent smear campaign being carried on by some media against Hindu spiritual guru Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Mutalik said that it is wrong for these media to be tarnishing his image, as Nithyananda has not been proven guilty by law.
