Cases against Lenin Karuppan

1.       Complaint  filed Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda with the Police commissioner of Chennai, against Sun network COO Harish Chandra Saxena, his assistant Iyyappan, Nakkheeran Gopal and Kamraj, Lenin Karuppan, his brother Kumar and his co-conspirators Aarthi Rao and lawyer Sridhar, for charges of extortion, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy and other sections in connection with the release of the morphed video linking Paramahamsa Nithyananda with actress Ranjitha. The Tamilnadu CID is currently investigating the case.

2.       Case filed by Ma Ranjitha against Lenin Karuppan and his co-conspirators Arati Rao and lawyer Sridhar, before the Hon’ble Magistrate of Ramnagara, Bengaluru with charges of outraging modesty of a woman, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy, and extortion in connection with creation and distribution of a morphed video attempting to link her with Paramahamsa Nithyananda. The Hon’ble Junior Division Magistrate has issued the second non-bailable warrant to Lenin Karuppan as he was absconding till date. The Hon’ble Magistrate has also issued re-summons to Arati Rao and Lawyer Sridhar as they have failed to appear before the Hon’ble Court.

3.       Case filed by Ma Nithya Supriyananda against Lenin Karuppan before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka with charges of outraging modesty of a woman and crime under the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe, Prevention of Atrocities Act.

4.       Lenin Karuppan also faces multiple serious charges of criminal defamation alongwith Nakkheeran Gopal and Nakkheeran Kamraj for creating and publishing highly defaming, false and perverted articles about the sannyasi disciples of the Paramahamsa Nithyananda in the Tamil bi-weekly magazine Nakkheeran starting from March 2010 in a series of issues, following the release of the morphed video attempting to defame Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
