Celebrating the Divine

Krishna Janmashtami, 10th August 2012

Krishna - Just hearing this name puts millions of people into ecstasy. As the infant suckling milk from his mother Yasodha, or as a child, who along with his friend steals and eats butter, or as the youngster who is the sweetheart of Radha, or as the diplomat King who helped the Pandavas, or as the Jagadguru who delivers the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna occupies a special place in the heart of every person practicing the Vedic Hindu tradition

Krishna Janmashtami is the day when the pure supreme Consciousness assumed the form called Sri Krishna 5000 years ago. Every year, Lord Krishna's birthday is celebrated as Krishnashtmi, Krishna Jayanthi, Gokulasthami, Sri Jayanthi and Ashtami Rohini by millions of people across the globe.

This year, in Sri Nithyanandeshwara Temple in the Bidadi Ashram of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated in a grand manner, with special poojas , offering and Bhajans. The deities which have been directly energized by rare living incarnation Paramahamsa Nithyananda through the mystical science of prana prathistha will be worshipped on that day.

Devotees across the globe can also participate in the celebrations and receive the Divine grace of Lord Krishna and the blessings of the Guru. You can register for the pooja and offerings in your own name, or on behalf of your family, friends or organization.

Krishna Janmashtami Offerings

NAVANEETA NAIVEDYAM: For speedy fulfuillment of wishes

Lord Krishna is the lover of butter. The Puranas say that he used to go to the extent of stealing and eating butter as a child. When we offer to the Divine, we get back the rewards a thousandfold. Offering butter(navaneeta) to Lord Krishna  is said to fulfill our true desires and prayers very quickly.

Bala Krishna Pooja: Blessings to have a Divine child

Offering pooja to the infant Krishna is a time-tested way of receiving the grace of the Lord for begetting a Divine child. In the Vedic tradition, it is customary for newly-married couples to offer pooja to Bala Krishna to be blessed with a Divine soul as their child.

Sri Krishna Homa is the special homa performed to make your energy level receptive to the Enlightening truths delivered by Krishna in Bhagawad Gita.

Offer this Bhagawad Gita Homa and watch Swamiji’s Bhagawad GIta Satsang for imbibing all the truths that Swamiji delivers and inserts into your bio-memory.

KSHEERAANNA NAIVEDYAM: For pure devotion and Divine Grace

Ksheeraannam is a special offering made of milk and rice. Milk represents pure devotion, while rice represents spiritual strength. Offering Ksheeraannam to Lord Krishna brings pure devotion in our heart and the showering of Divine grace in our life.
