Chithirai Brahmotsavam is the celestial celebration of Devi Meenakshi’s divine marriage with Lord Sundareshwara. The Legend of Meenakshi: Devi Meenakshi is an Avatar of Goddess Parvati – the consort of who incarnated in the human body as the daughter of the Pandya king Malayadhvaja and his wife Kanchanamala who ruled the Panya Kingdom from Madurai 2000 years ago. . This Brahmotsavam coincides with the Chithirai Brahmotsavam of Madurai Meenakshi Temple. This year Chithirai Brahmotsavam will be celebrated from April 23rd to May 2nd.
