AKSHAYA TRITIYA:

Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most auspicious days of the year. Akshaya means that which never diminishes. Akshaya Tritiya is so auspicious that any endeavour made on this day meets with undiminished success.

Whatever is begun on this day, whatever is offered on this day gives a thousand fold benefit back in our lives. The planetary energies are perfect on this day to make us full of wealth. Whatever wealth is lost in our lives can be regained by tapping the energy of the day. This day opens the possibility of regaining all the wealth that is lost and due to you.This day is a very auspicious day for making new investments. This is also a perfect day to offer your donations to a Divine cause as whatever I s offered to the Divine comes back to you thousand fold back. Akshaya Tritiya falls on the third phase of the moon after the new moon of the Mesha month of the Vedic solar calendar. This year Akshaya Tritiya falls on April 24. On this day both the Sun and the Moon are in the exalted positions. On this day, Sun is in the Mesha Rashi(Aeries) and Moon is in the Rishabha Rashi(Taurus) creating extraordinary positive vibrations on the planet Earth and unimaginable positive influence in human lives.

Legend has it that on this day Pandavas – Arjuna and his brothers – received the Akshaya Patra – the bowl that gives whatever is asked for without depletion. There is also another legend behind this day.It is on this day the poor Brahmin Sudhama aka Kuchela – the childhood friend of Lord Krishna went to Krishna and offered just a hand full of puffed rice and as a result immediately Sudhama was showered with wealth and prosperity.

There is a beautiful story in the life of Adi Shankaracharya – the great incarnation of Lord Shiva who lived 2000 years ago – wherein a poor householder woman gave one goose-berry fruit as alms to Shankaracharaya and at once the Cosmos showered gold into her house. Whatever you offer to the Divine comes back a thousand fold back to you.

ASHTALAKSHMI

Puranas refer to the story of the churning of the milky ocean and this narrative explains the birth of Lakshmi the Goddess of fortune. She not only controls the physical wealth in the form of money but she controls all other forms of wealth also .Ashtalakshmi is the unified form referring to eight aspects of wealth and prosperity, both material and spiritual. All forms of wealth are interlinked with each other. Man needs to have all of them so that he can become the master of wealth. The word Lakshmi is derived from the Sanskrit word Laksh, meaning goal. Ashtalakshmi, therefore, represents the goal of life, which includes worldly as well as spiritual prosperity.
The eight form of wealth, namely; money, food, courage, education, success, progeny, luck and strength are achieved by performing the Ashtalakshmi puja. This is puja not only showers you with the wealth it but gives you the intelligence to manage that wealth so that it multiplies.
